Mr. David Dolev (Lipitz), Founder and CEO
Mr. David Dolev (Lipitz), founder of Capital Point has over twenty years experience in the Israeli high-tech industry, specializing in positioning ventures and their commercialization processes. His expertise and experience in the high tech industry allows Mr. Lipitz to lead Capital Point and guide its portfolio companies towards fund raising, realizing business opportunities, forging strategic partnerships and IPO.
Mr. Lipitz holds M.A. in Humanities from Tel Aviv University, specializing in Technological Entrepreneurship and Human Capital.

Dr. Yehoshua (Shuki) Gleitman, Chairman of the Board of Directors Joined Capital Point in July 2005. Dr. Yehoshua (Shuki) Gleitman, a general partner at Ascend Venture Capital, and a former Managing Partner at Shrem, Fudim, Kelner Technologies - SFKT (Management Company) and a general partner at Platinum-Neuron Venture Fund (PNV). Prior to his position at PNV, Dr. Gleitman was the Chief Scientist and Director General of Israel’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, where he managed all of the Israeli Government technological programs. In the course of his four-year tenure, Dr. Gleitman was responsible for allocating over $1.5 billion in grants in the framework of promoting R&D activities in the Israeli high-tech industry. Dr. Gleitman also served as the CEO of Ampal Investment Group (NASDAQ: AMPL), where he was responsible for the investment of over $200 million in high-tech ventures. During his tenure at Ampal, Dr. Gleitman led a $330 million joint venture with Motorola Israel founding Mirs Communications Ltd., Israel’s fourth largest cellular operator. Dr. Gleitman holds a Ph.D. (with distinction), M.Sc. (with distinction) and B.Sc. in Physical Chemistry, from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Mr. Menachem J. Atzmon, Board Member
CPA (Israel) Menachem J. Atzmon deals in international business and is involved in numerous ventures. Mr. Atzmon is a controlling shareholder at ICTS International N.V. and after having served as a Member of the Board for several years, was appointed as Chairman in 2004.
Mr. Atzmon has been serving as the Director of the investment company Spencer Corporation Ltd. Since 1995 and as the Managing Director of Albermale Investment Ltd. and Kent Investment Holding Ltd.Since 1996. He has also served as CEO of Port of Rostock since January 1998.
Prof. Yehuda Kahane, Board Member Joined Capital Point in July 2005. Prof. Kahane is active in both academic and the business areas. He has a rich entrepreneurial background and is co-founder, director, and major shareholder of Ituran Location and Control (NasdaqNM:ITRN). Co-initiator of the concept “new” balanced pension funds, and co-founder and co-owner of the management firm of the first fund in Israel (Teshura) which, later became the fourth largest in the world. Prof. Kahane is also a professor of Insurance and Finance at the Faculty of Management at Tel-Aviv University, and held several academic positions in various schools and universities. Founded and served as the first Dean for the Israeli Academic School of Insurance, served as Director of the Erhard Insurance Centre, directed the Actuarial studies program, and coordinated the Executives Development Programs at Tel-Aviv University.
Prof. Kahane, has further served on the Israeli Insurance Council and several government committees on a variety of insurance topics, and was ranked among the most prolific insurance researchers of the past decade.
Prof. Kahane holds a B.A. in Economics and Statistics 1965, an M.A. in Business Administration, cum laude,1967 and a Ph.D. in Finance, 1973 from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
Dr. Tsvika Ben-Porat, Director
Joined Capital Point in May 2008. Mr. Ben-Porat has been the CEO of Maayan Ventures, a publicly traded chain of technology incubators, investing at the early stage start up companies, since March 2005. Prior to his position in Maayan, Mr. Ben-Porat served as the former founder and CTO of Ness Technologies Inc. (until Dec. 2004) Mr. Ben-Porat was also part of team that brought Ness to performing an IPO on NASDAQ (NSTC). He is also the founder and former CEO of IPEX ISI, acquired by Ness technologies to become Ness ISI. IPEX ISI was the first Microsoft Certified Solution Provider in Israel, and under Mr. Ben-Porat management was awarded the prestigious 1999 Microsoft RAD Award, the 1999 Microsoft European RAD Award and the 1998 MCSP Award. Mr. Ben-Porat has extensive experience in the management of large scale high-tech projects and was also co-founder of Ness Ventures, a sub-division of Ness specializing in providing professional IT and consulting services to start-ups. He previously served as CEO and CTO of Media Market Makers Ltd., a McCann-Erickson enterprise. Mr. Ben-Porat is a graduate of the special program for PhD students in Physics and has a Ph.D. in Business Administration from Ben Gurion University, Beer-Sheva.
Dr. Vered Shany, External Director
Joined Capital Point in August 2006. As of March 2002, Dr. Vered Shany manages Tashik Consultants, providing strategic consulting and corporate analysis for Israeli and international corporations, including investment management, in the specific niche of technology and life sciences companies. Previously, Dr. Shany served as managing director of Up-Tech Ventures Ltd, a subsidiary of the Africa-Israel Investments Group from May 2000 to March 2002, also acting on their behalf as a member of the board of directors of the Weizmann Science Park Incubator. Between 1995 - 1999, held a position of VP marketing for Arad Technological Incubator. Dr. Shany currently holds a position of an external director in XTL Bio Ltd. and in Simigon Ltd, and a former external director in Lahak Mutual Funds of Bank Hapoalim and in SFKT - Shrem Fudim Kellner Technologies. Dr. Shany holds M.A in business administration from Heriot - Watt University, Edinburgh Business School, completed her D.M.D. degree, Doctor of Medical Dentistry and her B.Med.Sc, from Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
