ConjuGate is developing a novel Antifungal therapy for systemic treatment, which will be used for the treatment of acute invasive fungal infections in patients with compromised immune system.
The product is based on the company's unique and patent protected technology which enables to improve the properties of existing drugs. The antifungal treatment will be significantly less toxic and more cost-effective than existing treatments.

Background 
Fungal infections are becoming a severe public-health hazard, particularly due to the increasing incidence of life-threatening fungal infections in immunocompromised hosts such as cancer patients, patients after transplantation and patients with AIDS.
The current treatments for acute systemic fungal infections are inadequate, due to limited availability of effective parenteral drug formulations and the appearance of new opportunistic fungal infections resistant to the marketed drugs.
